Dropping Loads Year-in-Review

Hey, guys. It's Pouch. The last few months here at Dropping Loads have been kind of hectic. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties as well as the holidays coming up around this time, we haven't been on any regular schedule. But that hasn't stopped us from trying to continue releasing as much entertainment as possible.

With this being the last week of 2012, we figured it was worth trying to get something out before the year ended. So we decided on a pod that reflected on this past year and how much we managed to accomplish. I can't speak for everyone at Dropping Loads, but I know that this was a big year for me. For the most part, I've never been the type of a person that reflected upon the year with swelling pride and/or regret as I never actually did anything worthwhile. It was just a matter of ending another year and life continuing on with no need to celebrate any momentous occasions. I'm glad to say that this year warranted such a change to my routine.

It's hard to say what really pushed me to suggest doing a podcast in the first place, but I suppose it was just a need to finally start on a project that I could put my creative energies into. I was slowly getting disillusioned with writing movie news, because it really felt like nobody gave a shit what I had to say. Though, it's difficult to gauge whether or not anybody gives a shit what we have to say on the pod or the videos, but overall the experience of just creating all of this content has been the reward in itself. It's brought me closer to a group of friends that I initially felt sharply divided from. So now I can actually say - with more certainty than I could in the past - that I feel a certain sense of belongingness. And all of it can be tracked through our blog and YouTube channel. It's wonderful that we have something we can show for it and it's even more wonderful that that there are people that actually care, though many of you guys don't make it known very often.

It's been a great year creating things for you guys and hopefully it'll be an even better year in 2013. Thanks for sticking by us.

In this episode, Pouch, Milky, and Random Guy Serge sit down and go through Dropping Loads in 2012. The boys drop loads of insight regarding the podcast and the launch of Dropping Loads Productions, while providing behind-the-scenes information for some of their favorite sketches filmed throughout the year. Pouch and Milky give special thanks to everyone involved and welcome the many opportunities in 2013.

Dropping Loads Episode 24: Coolest Person on Facebook

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

As usual, Pouch here. I'm not particularly happy with the way this episode turned out. We recorded this in the backyard of Milky Way Studios because Mrs. Milky wasn't feeling very well. There are some sounds in the background, but overall we were lucky enough to be recording on an uneventful night. Audio issues include Steve unconsciously rocking in his seat, thereby moving his mic stand... which it will become apparent within the first few minutes. Apologies for that. I'm most upset with the fact that I sound like such an ignorant idiot, but that's neither here nor there because it was still a pretty entertaining episode.

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube. Intro/Outro: Old School Hollywood - System of a Down

This week's Teasing Loads has Milky expressing his love for the Easy-Bake Oven:

We released a brand new DVD Load-Down for Strippers Vs. Werewolves last week:

In this episode, Steve returns to talk Legos and K'Nex. Milky breaks his personal record for largest number of individual Milky Rants on a single episode, as he rips into stupid kids, Facebook as the reason for children's stupidity, and America's obsession for legal action. And Pouch learns to cope with becoming a rising star.

Dropping Loads Productions: DVD Load-Down #10 - Strippers Vs. Werewolves

Yeah, it's been while since our last DVD Load-Down installment. This one, unfortunately, doesn't have an opening sketch because due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we had to do this one very last minute. Ah well, in place of an opening sketch, we're debuting an opening sequence that Milky came up with sometime ago. It's a tribute of sorts to a few of his favorite movies. It's a bit morbid, but it's a really nice piece.

This week, we're reviewing STRIPPERS VS. WEREWOLVES. As you would expect, it's pretty damn silly, but entertaining nevertheless.

Milky won this Blu-Ray via a pretty cool podcast called Mail Order Zombie. Check 'em out.

Dropping Loads Episode 23: Can't Hashtag "Hashtag"

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

Pouch here. Aside from the pods, it's been pretty quiet around these parts. As was said on Facebook, technical difficulties are really putting a standstill on our regular shooting schedule. We've had a great idea in the can since November, but shit happens. This short hiatus should be ending by next week, now that everything is cleared up. You should be getting some more original Dropping Loads productions soon enough. Wait for it... But until then, I present to you another episode of the great Dropping Loads podcast.

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube. Intro/Outro: Sex Machine - James Brown

This week's Teasing Loads has Milky explaining the common phenomenon of Bigfoot sightings:

Don't forget our Giveaway! It ends next week!

In this episode, the boys find out that Bigfoot is related to humans and that even old dogs can accomplish more than Maria and Nikki. A debate sparks about who is the more attractive of the two leads of Supernatural, while the boys discover that Milky wouldn't mind naming his unborn child Hashtag.

Dropping Loads Episode 22: Depressed for the Holidays

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

Pouch here. Since this recording session took place the day before Thanksgiving, most of the DLP boys were unable to attend, so I brought in one of my buddies to sit in with Milky and me. For someone who was deathly afraid of bogging the podcast down, he ended up providing a fair amount of laughs. As explained in the pod, we recorded in the backyard of Milky Way Studios and as a result, you will hear random things in the background that we may or may not acknowledge. It just so happened to be a pretty busy night, but I managed to take out the most distracting of noises.

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube. Intro/Outro: Sparkly Vampires - The Rifftones.

This week's Teasing Loads has me fondly remembering the days of the Twinkie:

And don't forget our GIVEAWAY! After hitting 50 subscribers last week, we wanted to celebrate by giving you guys some free shit. The video details all the prizes you can win... all you gotta do and subscribe and comment!

In this episode, Milky and Pouch welcome Random Guy Serge to the Pre-Thanksgiving proceedings. The boys talk Hostess, Necrophilia, and sex toys, while Milky invalidates Pouch's article as well as his arguments against Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey.

Dropping Loads Episode 21: Anything Goes in the Graveyard

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

Well, it's been more than a month since we sat down and recorded a podcast. It's been so long that some of us weren't even sure how to get back into it. Still, the enthusiasm of sitting down and recording after so long really drove us to push out a pretty great episode. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder.

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube. Intro/Outro: Sex in the Cemetery - The Accelerators.

This week's Teasing Loads has me questioning Milky whether or not he would comply with Maria's last request:

Also check out last week's sketch, Intruder!

In this episode, the Bitches and Maria sit in to discuss when breasts are too big, the sculpting of genitals on tombstones, and Pouch's wild night out. The DLP boys ponder the many uses of feces. Also, Pouch professes his admiration for a teenage idiot.

Dropping Loads Productions: Intruder!

Hey, guys. Halloween has come and gone, but DROPTOBER isn't quite finished yet! For those of you who couldn't be bothered to watch our DVD Load-Downs for the month of DROPTOBER, we've made it that much more easier for you to watch our epic four-part horror-comedy sketch entitled "Intruder!" by compiling it into one neat little 7:30 video (it has outtakes, don't worry). Now go and watch it, you lazy fucks!

Dropping Loads Productions: DVD Load-Down #9 - The Cabin in the Woods

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end... which means DROPTOBER must as well. This month has been difficult as we were constantly shooting something to ensure we hit each week's deadline, but it was a still hell of a lot of fun, though Milky would probably disagree as he was editing practically everyday. Regardless, this month is ending on a high note with the epic conclusion to our 4-part sketch. Last week, Pouch and Milky geared up for the final showdown with the masked man. See what happens.

This week, we're reviewing the fantastic flick by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, THE CABIN IN THE WOODS!

Don't forget to check out Part 1 of the sketch:

Dropping Loads Productions: DVD Load-Down #8 - The People Under the Stairs

Getting down to the wire. Second to last week of DROPTOBER and getting closer and closer to the conclusion of our 4-part epic sketch. Last week, Milky found Pouch on the floor in a puddle of blood. Will this really be the end of DVD Load-Down?

This week on DVD Load-Down, we're doing another Wes Craven movie entitled THE PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS.

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube.

And check out Part 1: LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT

Part 2: 976-EVIL

Sunday, October 14, 2012

Dropping Loads Productions: DVD Load-Down #7 - 976-EVIL

DROPTOBER continues with another installment of DVD Load-Down. This week, we're doing an 80's movie entitled 976-EVIL, directed by Robert Englund, the man who played Freddy Krueger. And with that, the sketch continues where it left off previously. While Milky waits for Pouch to finish putting on his makeup in preparation for a Halloween party, he pours himself something to drink. However, it seems there is someone else in the house that Milky wasn't aware of. Watch and see what happens next.

And check out last week's Load-Down:

Dropping Loads Productions: DVD Load-Down #6 - Last House on the Left

Pouch here. It's October and that means that everybody is ready to get scared and we're here to help you celebrate. Milky is a big fan of all things horror and really loves the festivities of a holiday that is so closely associated with the spooky stuff. Therefore, he set out to make this month special and to do that we're making this month DROPTOBER! Get it? And with that, you're getting FOUR DVD Load-Downs for each week of Droptober with us reviewing a horror movie from different eras starting from the 70's. Attached to each DVD Load-Down, you're getting a very special four-part sketch that will be sure to put you at the edge of your seat... if you haven't already fallen from ecstasy from having read this news.

In this episode of DVD Load-Down, we're getting into Wes Craven's film debut and cult exploitation flick THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT! Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube.

Dropping Loads Episode 20: Don't Make Dollar, Don't Make Sense

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

Pouch here. What's up, motherfuckers?! We just hit another fucking landmark with Dropping Loads Productions... it's episode 20! It wasn't too long ago when we hit episode 10 and we were excited and ready to do something special for our arrival into the double digits. However, while we continue to juggle our schedules between work and podding/shooting, we kinda missed this opportunity to do something special. I only remembered that it was episode 20 when saving the pod. But hell, we got Jon back. That's always a plus. I suppose it's better that we don't celebrate every single milestone and save the big celebrations for maybe episode 50. Damn, that sounds fun.

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube. Intro/Outro: Fuck your Couch Baltimore Mix - Dave Chappelle as Rick James

This week's Teasing Loads has Nikki's Grandma denying the fate of Frosty the Snowman.

Also check out this week's DVD Load-Down for Steven Seagal's Today You Die.

In this episode, Jon returns and fills us in on the latest rap feuds. Nikki wins on her recent date as well as reminisces about letters she wrote to her family members. The DLP boys also discuss the possibility of a zombie apocalypse and our renouncing of certain childhood fairy tales.

Dropping Loads Productions: DVD Load-Down #5 - Today You Die

Pouch here. Today we have another DVD Load-Down for you guys and I'm sad to announce that it was a Steven Seagal movie. After episode 7, it was bound to happen. This time, we brought in a good friend of ours whom we call Vest Guy. The guy's a bigger movie buff than either of us and has been running his own YT channel updating folks on his DVD/BD collection for about a year now, so we invited him around to participate in a sketch and review. And we had a shit-ton of fun. Considering his fantastic impression of Seagal, how can you not?

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube. And check out Vest Guy's channel

Dropping Loads Episode 19: Bling Bling

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

Pouch here. It's interesting to note that the last episode was difficult to record because we were fucking struggling to figure out what the hell to talk about... whereas in this new one, I had to cut it short because it didn't seem like there was any end in sight. We had a lot to talk about and we had a lot of fun this time around. Lots of never-ending subjects and more Milky Rants than you can muster. By the way, the Facebook page is under Dropping Loads Productions, however the link (which will always be listed below) is Facebook/DroppingLoadsPodcast. I was dumb enough not to change it.

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube. Intro/Outro: Bling Bling - BG featuring Birdman, Lil' Wayne, Turk, Mannie Fresh, and Juvenile.

This week's Teasing Loads features Eugene imploring Nikki to make his chicken the way he likes it.

Also check out the most fun we've had in a sketch yet: Chicken Intervention

And see how much fun we had on the sketch in the Making Of:

In this episode, Milky rants on the decline of western civilization after Snooki is allowed to spawn and shows us the extent of his rapping skills. The boys talk extensively on music while Pouch shares a story about a romantic outing to see Air Supply with his mom.

Dropping Loads Productions: Chicken Intervention

Hey, guys. It's Pouch. I'm here today with a brand new sketch! Overall, our approach to anything we've done here thus far is to try to have as much fun as a possible. And we do. Every sketch has been insanely fun. But this newest one is probably been the most fun we've had yet. We were just surrounded with tons of friends really fueling our adrenaline and electrifying the atmosphere. Thankfully, a lot of that was documented courtesy of Chuck, Angie, and Nic, who managed to shoot some pretty cool behind the scenes stuff. I just hope that much excitement and fun is translated well in this sketch.

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube.

No more talk! Watch it!

Be sure to catch the Behind-the-Scenes featurette, coming in the oncoming hours!

Dropping Loads Episode 18: Sticky

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

Who else updates this page but Pouch?! Nobody! This episode had some difficulty coming together because of schedule synchronization and whatnot, but we remain committed to consistent entertainment! In this episode, we're back at Milky Way Studios, where we belong. Problem is that the A/C has been broken for months, so we've been reluctant to fit 5 people in there for the longest. We decided to it was worth the effort this time around only to come out with disastrous results... and verbalizing about how hot it is or tinkering with the fan to maintain coolness for a roomful of sweating podcasters went on record. I ended up cutting a lot of that.

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube. Intro/Outro: Hurricane Party - James McMurtry.

Check out this week's Teasing Loads, featuring Milky's show-stopping insult.

Check out our newest video, DVD Load-Down #4: Ghost Cat

In this episode, DLP is inundated with estrogen courtesy of Mrs. Milky and Nikki speaking of menstrual cycles and orgasms. The crew reminds folks of the significance in the journey toward the booty, while Mrs. Milky copes with being featured on the evening news buying toilet paper.

Dropping Loads Productions: DVD Load-Down #4 - Ghost Cat

Pouch here. For the past couple of months, our schedule has alternated between a YouTube sketch and a podcast, with a random release of a show that Milky and I have been doing for a bit. If you haven't seen it, it's called DVD Load-Down, where Milky and I review a DVD. Considering time restraints and demand on our poor Milky, we've decided to incorporate the DLD's into our weekly lineup, thereby allotting us more time to work on the DLP sketches you guys love so much more. Those DLP sketches just require more effort on our part.

So I suppose today will be the first official release of DVD Load-Down. In this episode, we rip into the Ellen Page TV movie, GHOST CAT. Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube.

Dropping Loads Episode 17: Bluttpug

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

Pouch here with a brand new episode of Dropping Loads. Man, we've become a traveling podcast. We still maintain all that ridiculous candidness that you have come to love, but in moving our gear around, the audio is never perfect and you can hear on this for sure. I know I've said I won't be making any excuses anymore, but that is the real reason why half the time the pod isn't as clear as it used to be. But for the most part, we remain committed to bringing you consistent entertainment! (At least, to the few of you out there.) By the way, you guys should definitely start spreading the word and helping out. We can only do so much.

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube. Intro/Outro: Will You Swallow my Cum? - Larry Pierce

Last episode, we introduced a brand new segment called Teasing Loads, where we provide a simple tease to the newest production to come. In the last one, it was a 13-second clip cut-together from the few funny moments of Mrs. Milky's podcasting debut. This time, it's a video where you actually get to see this week's guest.

Take a look:

Otherwise, please check out our newest video, Dr. Dad:

In this episode, the DLP boys are joined by Nikki's guest Alan, who has a very special signature move that has the ladies clamoring to come back. Also, Milky brings in a new "Price is Milky" for "Loads of FUN," where Nikki takes the title away from Eugene.

Dropping Loads Productions: Dr. Dad

Pouch here. Yeah, it's a bit late, but shit happens. This was a difficult one to get done. We were all set for a fun skit that was supposed to be a callback to one of our other sketches, but we had a bit of a crisis and had to scramble to get production started on another one we had in the bank. Like I said millions of times prior, we're running an insanely amateur operation here and you will see how amateurish it is. Of course, that doesn't mean we didn't have fun. As you can see in the bloopers, we always fun.

Anyway, this week we have a little sketch called Dr. Dad in which we explore creepy doctors, where I exhibit my very shitty acting skills. Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube.

Dropping Loads Episode 16: Notorious Knight Rises

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

As usual, it's Pouch coming at you with the newest episode of Dropping Loads. Though, it's starting to occur to me that we have way more fans of our awesome channel than of the podcast. Eh... The podcast is still a good reason to bring most of the DLP boys and friends together. This one was recorded at Mr. and Mrs. Milky's Summer Palace with one of the biggest crowds in a while, which means there was a shit-ton of problems during this recording session. For the most part, you should just expect shitty quality in general. I'm tired of making excuses when it's every episode now... though, this one I can easily explain. This one is our longest in about month because we finally got most of the boys together and we had an important topic to discuss: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES!

Please check us out on FacebookTwitterEmail, and leave a review on iTunes. Subscribe to us on YouTube. Intro/Outro: Batman & Robin - Snoop Dogg, featuring Lady of Rage and RBX.

In this episode, Nikki, Juan, and Mrs. Milky join in as the boys discuss the applications of the word "notorious" and curious sex-related crimes in another edition of "Get a Load of This." Then, the boys rip apart The Dark Knight Rises in an extensive and spoilerific review. SPOILERS!
