Dropping Loads Productions: Cake Boy Strikes Again Episode 3 - The Drive Home

Pouch here. I'm pretty happy to announce the return of one of our other series that we are started some months back. For whatever reason, we shifted focus on the Mind Bend U series which may or may not have been the best choice. Either way, this one has been sitting around for a while and we even had to do a reshoot, but I'm pretty happy with the way in turned out.

Here's Cake Boy:

Dropping Loads Episode 59: You've Done Enticed Me, Sir

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE.

After I had a chance to look my wounds a little regarding our failed movie screening, I came back with some renewed vigor.... Not really, but I just realized that with all the 'Net surfing I do, I should share some of it with you guys. I do tend to find some cool stuff with browsing the Internet when it's slow at work, so I think more of shit like that should be appearing on the pod from time to time.

Overall, the recording of this podcast was met a fair amount of tumult. We were delayed several times that it eventually took about 2 1/2 hours to record an hour long podcast. And as you can see, Milky became delirious at a certain point and I followed not far behind. Intro/Outro: Never Heard of It - Taco Song.

In this episode, Pouch brings more spooky stuff to discuss for no apparent reason. Paco wants to start her own spooky segment, but despises the name that Milky gives it.

Dropping Loads Episode 58: International Dildo

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE.

In this episode, Paco recalls her awkward encounter with Eliza Dushku. Milky denounces 20th Century Fox's Quicksilver and Michael Bay's TMNT. Pouch grieves about their failed movie screening.

So yeah, our screening failed, but you'll hear all about it on this episode. I figured that if we're going to bitch and moan about this, we should bring on Paco who was pretty vital to our little project. In the end, she probably ended up getting the majority of those 23 tickets sold. Also, home shows can be refreshing. Paco doesn't quite require the scheduling that our other semi-permanents need, so it's much easier. Well, I've got nothing else to say. Intro/Outro: Missy Elliott - Toyz

Dropping Loads Productions: Mind Bend U Episode 6 - Are you or Orange you?

Your effervescent Pouch here. All good things must come to an end. This is the season finale of Mind Bend U and I'm sorry to say that it landed on one that I wrote. Looking back on it now, there were several things that should have been changed in the script. Maybe add a few more scenes and edit others as they didn't quite translate very well. In the end, I am my own worst critic and it's tough watching stuff that I wrote. Eh, let me stop bellyaching and you guys can judge for yourselves.

Dropping Loads Episode 57: Legit

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE.
With all that's been happening regarding our screening of Legends of the Knight, I nearly forgot about recording an episode. Despite the fact that it was rushed, it turned into a pretty good episode, due in large part to our great semi-permanent Jon. It's our first outing, so we've been focusing heavily on the promotion and obviously, not doing a good job at that. Intro/Outro: Miley Cyrus (Featuring Britney Spears) - (SMS) Bangerz

In this episode, Jon wows us with his analysis of legitimacy and stresses the difference between his definition of Banger and Miley Cyrus's. Pouch provides a commentary on Disney's A Goofy Movie. Pouch and Milky recap their adventures at MegaCon 2014.

Please consider coming to our very first screening. If we do not get 65 confirmed attendees by the 16th of April, the event will not occur.

Here is all the relevant information:

What: Legends of the Knight Screening
Where: AMC Aventura 24, 19501 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL
When: April 23rd, but we need at least 65 tickets by April 16th
How: Go to Tugg.com and purchase tickets before April 16th
How much: $11, the price of a regular movie ticket
Why: To help spread the message of this documentary and raise money for LifeNet4Families

Here's the trailer:

Please don't forget that proceeds from this event will be going to a great charity that aims to feed poverty-stricken families, called LifeNet4Families.

Dropping Loads Productions: Mind Bend U Episode 5 - Ashy White

Your appreciative Pouch here. This one was pretty fun. Our good friend recently came back after a stint in the Air Force and we decided to cast him in this bitch as a sort of welcome home gift. Dunno how much he appreciated it, but we had fun nonetheless. It's the first Mind Bend U that I didn't star in, obviously, I guess it was a little refreshing to have someone else in the mix. We've been shooting for the past few months, just Milky and me, and tensions were running high, it was rejuvenating to have somebody else in front of the camera.

Dropping Loads Episode 56: Swishy featuring John Dayton of The Weekly Train Wreck

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE.

After the unfortunate collapse of the 76th Street Network, I figured that we should try to maintain strong ties to the podcasting community that we love. Yeah, yeah. I know we shouldn't have taken them for granted and actually had them on when the network was going strong. We always talked about it, but we never actually pursued until after the fall and I regret that. But regardless, now we have another prominent figure of the 76th Street Network, John Dayton of John Dayton's Smartass Podcast and The Weekly Train Wreck. We talk podcasting and 76th Street Network drama. Check him out at The Weekly Train Wreck, where they speak with awesome musicians and discuss weird news. Intro/Outro: Ben Folds - Ass Crack Bandit.

In this episode, the boys bring in John Dayton of The Weekly Train Wreck, where he falls for a thrift store thief. Milky wishes for a world free of the intergluteal cleft, while Pouch defends its honor. The guys pitch a new fashion podcast about jeans and shoes.

Dropping Loads Productions: Mind Bend U Episode 4 - Hangnail

Your abominable Pouch here. This was a bit late and I know you guys are jonesing for us to continue discovering the secrets of the universe. We're not going to abandon you... not until the first season is over, at least. Regardless, this one was fun and unfortunate the scientist didn't make an appearance in this one. What's the inspiration for this one? I have no idea. You would have to ask Milky. Hopefully, you'll enjoy it anyway.

Here's more Mind Bend U.

Dropping Loads Episode 55: Women Love Cheese

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE.
Have had a busy last few weeks here that surprisingly were not related to DLP... but that didn't stop us from delivering, did it? Nope. We're still here and we're still releasing all of your favorite shit in a timely manner. This is going to be a pretty short update, unfortunately, as not much is really going on that we care to reveal at the moment. Also, my apologies for terrible news reporting. I blame it on RGS keeping me up with his drunken shenanigans. Just check out this latest podcast for your weekly DLP fix. Intro/Outro: Warrant - Cherry Pie

In this episode, Random Guy Serge attempts to decipher his own drunken scrawl. Milky defends Hot Pocket love, while Pouch cannot contain his excitement over the Batman: Arkham Knight announcement. Paco doesn't like Swiss Cheese.

Dropping Loads Productions: Mind Bend U Episode 3 - Flattop

Your ever-loving Pouch here. Don't you love when we stay on schedule? I know you guys cannot live without us for too long. This one was 100% inspired by one of our favorite semi-permanents, Jon. It happened on a wonderful day where in which were gathered together for some celebration, of which I cannot recall. A basketball game was playing on the TV when Jon was suddenly stricken by the majestic flattop of Norris Cole. Never had Jon laid eyes on a such square-shaped head. He would proceed to ask anyone even remotely interested in sports, "What do you think the percentage of flattops is in the NBA?" Being that we couldn't possibly come up with anything as absurd as that, we stole his idea and turned it into a Mind Bend U sketch.

Ain't life grand?

Dropping Loads Episode 54: So Much for Man's Best Friend featuring Lance Manion

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE.
Your (insert adjective about devotion here) Pouch here. We got back one of our favorite non-semi-permanent guests, Lance Manion. Let's face it, he's slowly becoming a semi-permanent because of how much fun we always have with him, despite the fact that he's always shitting on something we like. In episode 49, Manion briefly touched upon a Deep Dark Web story that intrigued us. It was published just weeks after the episode was released and although, we wanted Lance on to discuss the story, we had a long list of things we wanted to get to that, unfortunately, took longer than we anticipated. As usual, it's another great episode and as usual, Lance had us cracking up. Make sure you check out Lance at his website and don't forget to pick up his new book, The Trembling Fist, out now on paperback and e-book. Intro/outro: benefit= - If I Owned a Midget

In this episode, author Lance Manion returns to discuss a recently published story about the Deep Dark Web. Milky and Lance discuss dwarfs and all their glory. The guys then try to rewrite Floridian law to better suit the antics of the Florida Man. Check out http://www.lancemanion.com

Dropping Loads Productions: Mind Bend U Episode 2 - Algebra

Your everlasting Pouch has returned. We are somewhat back on our schedule, with a new Mind Bend U! I don't want to say that we are committed to that schedule quite yet, as shit happens daily here at DLP. Regardless, get ready to learn something new with Mind Bend U!

Haven't you ever wondered if and when you would ever use something as tedious and silly as Algebra? Well, the scientists over at Mind Bend U have attempted to create a scenario in which your ability to solve for x will be lucrative, indeed.

Dropping Loads Episode 53: Level Up

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

The award-winning Pouch here. Yes, hell has frozen over, buffaloes have sprouted wings, and monkeys have flown out our asses, because we are now an award-winning podcast. It feels pretty good. Unfortunately, it was so unexpected that we couldn't quite plan anything to celebrate the occasion. Unfortunately, this episode featured a lot more personal and inaccessible talk than usual. We got a little wrapped up in having a genuine conversation that I know I forgot we were supposed to be entertaining you folks. Yes, do we deserve the award? Not after this episode. At the same time, I do a horrendous job explaining why Jesse Eisenberg is a good Lex Luthor, so let me edit my explanation. Eisenberg's Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network is considered a great direction for Lex Luthor simply because of how cunning, brilliant, cold, and ruthless he is. The willingness to step over others to achieve his goals. That is what makes a good Lex Luthor. Intro/outro music: Bill Conti - Gonna Fly Now.

In this episode of the award-winning Dropping Loads podcast, the boys revel in being named the Best Podcast of 2013 at RadioFubar. Paco refuses to believe that Milky can get drunk. Milky regrets a prank from his childhood. Pouch defends Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

Dropping Loads Productions: Mind Bend U Episode 1 - Buffalo Wings

Pouch here. Annnnd we're back from hiatus. Well, the videos are back from hiatus. The podcast are much easier to plan at the last minute, convene, record, edit, and release. Videos, as you can imagine, take more time to write, shoot, and edit. But as I've teased mercilessly in the past, we've been hard at work, conceptualizing and writing for this brand-new micro-series that we're premiering today!

It's an absurdist micro-series in the same vein as... everything Adult Swim. Personally, I took most inspiration from Robot Chicken in terms of short form absurd humor, though we're obviously not nearly as clever as them and we're not using recognizable (or copyrighted) stuff. Fuck it, it's nothing like Robot Chicken, but it is weird. Now, the point of Mind Bend U is to attempt to teach something. That something may be very stupid and very wrong, but it's mind-bending!

Dropping Loads Episode 52: Workin' Hard or Hardly Workin'

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE

Your sycophantic Pouch here. After looking at the statistics, it seems you guys just want more of Random Guy Serge. Being the caring podcasters we are, we decided to give you guys what you wanted and brought back the one and only RGS. We love him and it's obvious you love him too. Unlike the last few episodes, this one gave me very little trouble with the audio, except for one very strange hiccup. For some odd reason, both RGS's and Milky's tracks shorted out the moment Milky said something particularly blasphemous. It was about to happen with my track, but manage to come out, so there will be a quick second in there where Milky is attempting to say something, the audio cuts to a different track, where Milky sounds much further way. Aside from that, it was smooth sailing for the most part. Intro/Outro - Captain Dan and the Scurvy crew.

In this episode, Random Guy Serge must diversify the podcast. Pouch spreads the yospel of the Yurch of Yeezianity, while Milky declares himself a Ye'Ciple. The boy discuss the latest rumors surrounding Batman vs. Superman ad nauseam.

Dropping Loads Episode 51: Whirlpool of Hunger

Subscribe to us on iTunes HERE
Happy New Year, folks! Pouch here. It's nice to start off fresh in the new year with episode 51. As you can tell, I'm still coming off of the high that was the 50th episode celebration. Not to toot my own horn, but that was a pretty great episode and will definitely live on as one of the highlights of our collection. However, let's look forward into the present and the future. This episode was pulled together very quickly, though the topic of Bamboo was gestating for a long time. If you ever watch any of the Operation Helping Hands videos, make sure it's the 7-minute long one. Intro/outro: The Ramones - Mama's Boy

In this episode, Pouch professes his hatred towards Bamboo and spins a tale of almost certain death. Milky can't quite accept new and expensive way of putting to your loved ones to rest. Paco is hungry.
